The first pre-school for children from the age of about 30 months till admission at Primary school, was started in 2001.
This enabled mothers from the locality to leave their children in the centre and then go to work, returning for them after lunch. The benefits are clear.

High Protein mix to be made into Porridge as a supplimentary food for the childr en The children are well cared for, safe and learn healthy habits. They are given a nutritional snack and attention is given to the food provided from home for their lunch. In addition all the children undergo medical assessments, including height and weight checks, are given Vitamin A and polio immunisation drops, and are de-wormed annually

Important for their future development is that the children are prepared for school by means of visual aids, interactive games and fun based learning. They develop their vocabulary, can communicate better and learn basic concepts.  More than that, the habit of school attendance is nurtured in them, and their parents come to appreciate the importance of education. A sure start in life is provided and their mothers can work knowing that their children are safe.
