Community Health
Women are the pivot round which every community revolves, so a great deal of work is done with them, and this can have a very significant influence on the nutrition, health education and well-being of families.
In 2010, 54 womens groups regularly met in 10 different communities and an average of 12 women attended each meeting. An average of 388 awareness sessions were done for these women’s groups. Using a wide variety of methods, knowledge is spread, especially about health, their rights, and the facilities available in the locality.
Contacts are also developed with families with Tuberculosis involving an initial home visit and follow ups on treatment and provision of nutrition.
